I have been hard at work throughout the winter break to make our classroom, Bungalow 3 (B3), a home. I held a Donor's Choose fundraising campaign to get a much-needed rug for our classroom (that will arrive in late January) and members of the community were so generous and donated a teacher desk, shelving, and a small storage closet, as well as some supplies, books, and prizes that I will use for behavior incentives. Burbank is truly a wonderful community.
We are sharing our room with the school's Around the Bell (ATB) program. We have a very small amount of space that is exclusive to our program. If you do bless our class with a donation, please keep in mind that I likely won't have room for anything "Costco size." Almost every inch of space is accounted for! Your student may mention things that are "not ours" in the classroom. ATB takes up most of the room, and we will be working on making sure we do not touch their belongings. Ahead of the first day, please take a moment to read through the packet that will come home on Monday. Along with the JK Journal, you'll find helpful information for planning your kiddo's first days of school. Click here for the packet. Thank you to everyone who came out to the JK orientation! It was great to chat with you and tell you all about our classroom. I will keep this "JK Notes" section for announcements. I have turned off comments on this "blog," so please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected] if you would like to follow-up on any announcements found here.
